Mind maps (mind mapping), originally developed as an efficient note-taking tool, have been shown in recent research to be beneficial to learning, supporting cognitive functions, and developing foreign language skills. This article presents a case study describing the use of mind mapping to enhance expressive language abilities in a patient with Broca's aphasia following a stroke. Intensive therapy was conducted for six weeks, and its effect on the patient's spontaneous verbal production was assessed immediately after the therapy and again after one month without targeted training. An increase in the number of content words in spontaneous speech was noted after therapy. The findings suggest that mind mapping may represent an effective and motivating therapeutic approach for individuals with aphasia. The aim of the case study is to determine whether the mind mapping technique is suitable for expressive skills development in non-fluent aphasia. Furthermore, the case study focuses on exploring how this method can be applied in speech therapy intervention.
