The aim of this contribution is to introduce the current situation regarding the assessment of language development in children with cochlear implants in the Czech Republic. There is a lack of unified methodology that would allow for reliable monitoring of spoken language development in this population. As a result, not only is there insufficient information about the communicative development of these children, but it is also difficult to track the progress of individual cases.
